 VBS 2008

Vacation Bible School is offered to our children and children in the Dayton community in the summer. VBS at Westminster is a wonderful time of spiritual growth for our children as well as a time to fellowship and become one in Christ. For the past few years, we have used curriculum from VBS Reachout Adventures. This year's theme centers around the book of Joshua. We have found that you can have a VBS filled with strong Biblical teaching while still having a fun-filled adventure using this program. All of the lessons, songs, games, crafts, skits, and memory work revolve around this "run the race" theme. The Gospel is presented all along the way. We have volunteers participate from age 13 to ???? as well as Pastor Carter, to make our VBS experience one to remember. The children recall songs and verses long after VBS is over!  VBS is available for those aged 4 years old through 6^th grade completed. (2s and 3s class available for current Westminster attendees.)

Christmas Celebration

Each year at Christmastime, our children present a small program for the church. The programs usually involve singing, reciting of the Christmas story, and more. In the past, the children have presented the history of Christmas carols and songs as well. The Christmas Program is usually a night of many smiles as our little ones sing sweetly and beam as they tell the story of the Christ child. We encourage our children to share their talents with the church during this time as well. We often have young people accompany the youth choir on the piano or many other instruments as well as sing solos and duets. We as a church look forward to this wonderful event each year. Children ages 2 through 18 participate in the Christmas Program.
